The DishDrawer is the reason most Fisher & Paykel calls come in. Single and double drawer models share the same weak points: a lid seal or lid actuator that stops the drawer sealing, so the unit fills and then throws an error; a drain pump or rotor that leaves water in the tub; a flood switch in the base that trips after a small leak and locks the machine out; and drawer motor faults on the double units. The fault codes on the display are genuinely useful, so have them ready when you call.

Because the drawers are sealed modules, the repair is mostly about getting to the part without damaging the cabinetry. We do that regularly on panel-ready installs in Barrie kitchens.

Fisher & Paykel SmartDrive Washers, Fridges and Ovens

SmartDrive top-load washers are direct-drive machines with a lot of electronics: the motor controller, the diverter valve that switches between recirculating and draining, the water valves and the pump are the parts that fail, and the machine usually tells you which with a beep code. On the ActiveSmart fridges we see fan and defrost faults that leave the fresh-food section warm while the freezer holds, and on the AeroTech and built-in ovens it is elements, temperature sensors and door hinges.
